Reducing
OSHA/MSHA
reportable claims
due to MSD’s, slips,
trips and falls

GSC On-Site has solutions leading to the reduction of work related injuries including an innovative Pre-Shift Warm Up program where 86% of participants did not have any OSHA recordable or reportable MDS incidents and 89% of participants demonstrated improved flexibility that prevents fatigue which can lead to injuries.

Reducing the Effects of Aging
Workforce

GSC On-Site starts with the pre-hire process developing Post-Offer Agility tests that match the physical requirements of the job. NIOSH states that 10% of job applicants are not able to meet the job requirements and are thus at risk of injury or not able to perform the job tasks. GSC On-Site test results are between 10-11% test failure that helps to ensure that applicants of any age can meet the requirements of the job.

Prevention Plus metrics are pain reduction by 93% within 3-4 20-minute visits on-site, 100% employee and supervisor satisfaction and NO lost work days during our contract periods for musculoskeletal symptoms.

Functional Ergonomics versus costly
and unrealistic ergonomic
assessments

Many of our customers rely on their insurance company or insurance brokers to provide ergonomic assessments or in some cases retain expensive consultants to assess the ergonomic risks at their company.

One customer was able to purchase a pneumatic cutter that cost $350 and reduced the strength rating of the job from Very heavy to medium. In addition, they have not had any work injuries since adding this low-cost solution.

Reduction of lost work days for
STD/LTD and work-related injuries

A major problem for companies across business sectors is when employees are not at work! GSC has developed a program called Prevention Plus ™ that addresses lost time away from work by providing assessment and hands on intervention to address any musculoskeletal symptoms. Weekend warriors or early symptoms due to age, poor body mechanics or repetitive work can result in time away form work to attend doctor and physical therapy appointments.

Prevention Plus metrics are pain reduction by 93% within 3-4 20-minute visits on-site, 100% employee and supervisor satisfaction and NO lost work days during our contract periods for musculoskeletal symptoms.

Constant Pressure to Identify
Continuous Improvement Safety Goals

Whether VPP or not, EHS programs are under constant pressure to develop and measure effectiveness for continuous improvement of their EHS programs. GSC On-Site Services has Job Analysis, Ergonomic Assessment, Injury Prevention Specialist staffing programs and Train the Trainer programs to meet our customer continuous improvement needs. All our programs contain meaningful metrics to create a ROI factor for program sustainability.

Metrics are targeted to the specific, measurable goals for each service as well as employee and supervisor feedback and then correlated to company metrics such as lost work days, injuries, hiring and retention costs, and more. One GSC On-Site customer has written our injury prevention services into their OSHA VPP plan for continuous improvement due to our metrics and standardized approach to reducing workplace injuries.

GSC On-Site Services is a member of the VPPPA and an associate member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
